Cole's Blog
Out of all the years of being in middle school my 8th grade year was the best. I enjoyed playing sports with my friends. I had fun playing in band. I was to able to handle a crazy schedule with testing every day. Most of all enjoyed that I had fun and amusing too help the year go by fast. These are all the things that made this year great.
The year started with cross country in the summer. We had lots of new 7th graders, even enough to have a real team. When I got my schedule I was happy to see that I had most of my classes with my friends. I was also happy to see I had all the teachers I had hopped to get. The rest of the beginning of the year was great everything got out to an easy start, and my grades where good. As winter arrived so did the end of cross country. We had a great season, but we fell short of wining. On a more happier note I participated in the geography bee. I made it most of the way till there was a four way tie for third. Then the mom of the third place winier said that said that he had more points even after the announcer said that the points did not carry through to the next round, but the announcer said "ok he he got third". Other than that and some parcc testing middle part of the year went pretty smoothly. As spring approached so did the end of parcc testing. With spring came track. The track season started out great, until I got a very bad soccer injury. This led to me not being able to participate for two weeks. Later on in the spring I went and job shadowed Chris Vickers. I had lots of fun at the news station I even able to set up the noon forecast. To cap off the yearr I got to preform at the Pemberville and Luckey memorial day ceremony. That is a reflection of my 8th grade year.
